The people at Country Classic cars are friendly. I went there to take a look at a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. After thoroughly looking over the vehicle I asked if I could test drive the vehicle. The staff were kind enough to let me test drive the vehicle around their property only. The Cherokee that I looked at had high mileage (216k miles) and after test driving it, I knew it needed some work. I wanted to purchase the vehicle. However, they would not negotiate a lower price. They wanted $3500 for the vehicle! The vehicle itself is only worth around $1500-$1800 (according to kbb and Edmunds. If you want to purchase a vehicle here, do not bother negotiating a lower price for their vehicles. They do have a unique collection of cars, but some of them have been sitting for a few years or more.
Great place to find an affordable classic car. They are dusty and worn, but not as expensive as the museums. Good drivers.
Worth the trip. So many cars!! All I can say is WOW!!! We found a couple but it was overwhelming. There were over 600 cars
I inquired about a vehicle on Tuesday 7/25/17 via email. My email as of Wed 7/26/17 in the late afternoon still had not been returned so I decided to call in. I spoke with a salesman and asked about a specific vehicle and he stated that it was still available. I asked what I could buy the vehicle for and he stated a price. I offered a lesser amount by $500 and he said that he would have to "speak with his boss". I gave him my name and number and told him I look forward to his call back. This was at 3pm. They close at 5pm. NO call back that day. So here we are Friday I hadn't heard anything so I emailed again for more pictures and information on the vehicle. I mentioned in the email the string of events that had transpired thus far. This email was answered much quicker. I received pictures of the car about two hours later via text. Since we were now communicating through text I asked what " I could buy the car for"? The salesperson responded $300 higher than what I was told the previous day. I informed him/her of that conversation, to which they then showed me a picture text of my name and information written on a piece with the offer that I had made (so obviously no one lost my information, they were just not very pressed to sell a car). The salesperson responded to my text with (exact words) "as it stands if I get a ($$$$) offer which ( I ) was doing you a favor by telling you that ( I )would call the boss on the ($$$$)." Which obviously tells me that I am now texting the salesman that I talked to on the phone the previous day. So I responded "So I'm lying"? to which he replied "No one is calling you a liar. Do you want the car at ($$$$)" ? I just responded with "I am going to pass. Got a bad Taste in my mouth about all of this". The salesperson responded. "Ok Thanks".
I have been in sales for 12 years and I am also a sales manager at a seven franchise dealership. This car was for myself. If any of my sales staff dropped the ball (several times) like this for one of my potential customers they would probably be looking for a new career. I am just a guy who wanted to buy a car. I read all of these reviews before I contacted this establishment but I like to form my own opinion. Unfortunately I now believe all the 1 star reviews that I read. I will take my money elsewhere. Also, I know what it's like to have someone write negative review about our business and many people never leave their name, I have nothing to hide. -Eric Rios-
Enjoyed walking through and see all the old cars for sale.
